Orthodox Church Patriarch Says JavaScript In Embedded Systems ‘Sign Of Apocalypse’

MOSCOW — The head of the Orthodox Church has said that the use of JavaScript in embedded systems is “a very dangerous sign of the apocalypse.” Patriarch Kirill told a congregation on March 16th that such a thing “means people are choosing a path of self-destruction.”

The patriarch criticized the various projects which encourage using this programming language for internet-of-things and small devices, saying that “their use is in favor of sin and a crime against RAM memory”.

Kirill also said he supports a ban on “JavaScript frameworks propaganda in social media and Stack Overflow”.
