CEO Stuck With Useless, Overpaid Management

RIGA — “I know they are a bunch of insecure, underperforming, overpaid, privileged morons, but what can you do, right?” expressed a visibly affected, borderline hopeless Chief Executive Officer from a space company who spoke with the Inquirer under strict confidentiality. “Hiring a VP takes at least 6 months, let alone sacking all these idiots and getting full new management. As much as I’d so much love to give them the boot, I’m locked in with them”.
In what has been described as yet another occurrence of what economists call “switching barrier”, companies are being increasingly kept captive of incompetent managers due to the high costs associated with changing them, combined with a proliferation of subpar-quality, overpriced recruiters who are largely incapable of sourcing normal people.
